My Passport Journal

Monday: Today I got my very first passport! In the photo I look surprised, but Mom says that is okay. Next week we will fly far away to see my grandmother. I am so excited that I can hardly wait.

Saturday: We rode a train to the airport station. The line was long, so I counted the coins in my pocket to pass the time. On the plane, a little boy in the next row began to cry. I showed him how to fold a paper fan. He smiled and played with it for the rest of the flight. I was glad that I could be helpful.

Sunday: We landed this morning. An officer looked at my passport and stamped it. Now my passport has its first colorful stamp! Grandmother met us with a big hug and a basket of fresh fruit.

Tuesday: Today Grandmother showed me how to point to places on her map and say their names in her language. I enjoy learning new words with her. This vacation is the best one I have ever had, and I hope we can stay a long time.
