Rainy Days Are the Best
Some people groan when they see gray clouds in the sky. I do not. I think rainy days are the best days of the year, and I have three reasons.
First, rainy days are cozy. I love to curl up in my favorite chair with a book because the rain taps softly on the window. The sound makes me feel calm and sleepy.
Second, rain is good for the earth. Plants need water to grow, and rain gives it to them. Therefore, a few rainy days help gardens turn tall and green.
Third, rainy days give us fun things to do. Since we cannot play outside, we can find new games inside. For example, my cousin and I once built a fort out of four chairs and two big blankets. Then we read stories in our secret hideout until supper.
That is why I think rainy days are the best. They are cozy, they help the earth, and they are full of fun. Next time it rains, I hope you will smile, too.
