Read a short play and decode words with prefixes and suffixes.

Characters: Dev, his sister Rosa, Dad, and Kiwi, a green parrot

Where Is Dev's Cap?

1DEV: (sadly) Oh no! I misplaced my baseball cap. Coach says every player must wear one, and my game starts soon!

2ROSA: Let's recheck your room. Did you look under your bed?

3DEV: I looked there twice. My room was untidy, so I cleaned it. Now it is spotless, but there is no cap.

5DEV: Not now, Kiwi. I can't play with you today.

6ROSA: (softly) Wait! Kiwi only says words she hears. Who said that?

8DEV: (unzips the bag and peeks inside) My cap! It was under my glove the whole time.

9ROSA: (smiling brightly) Kiwi, you are a useful bird.
