Wear a Hat in the Sun

Find the author's point and the reasons that support it.

Read the article

Read the article. Think about what the author wants you to do and why.

Grab a Hat!

1Are you going out to play on a sunny day? Put on a hat first! A hat is a smart thing to wear in the sun.

2A hat helps keep your skin safe. Strong sunlight can burn skin and make it red and sore. A hat with a wide brim shades your face, ears and neck.

3A hat also helps you see. Bright sun can make it hard to keep your eyes open. The brim keeps bright light out of your eyes, so you can spot the ball.

4A hat can help you feel cooler, too. Its shade keeps the hot sun off your head. So the next time the sun is out, grab your hat!
