Why We Recycle Paper

Do you throw away your old paper? At school, we put used paper in a blue bin. We should recycle our paper, and here is why.

First, used paper can be turned into new paper. A truck takes the paper to a factory. Workers there make it into clean sheets.

Second, paper is made from trees. When we recycle, factories need fewer new trees.

Third, recycling keeps paper out of the trash can. Then the trash pile gets smaller. That is why recycling paper is a good idea.
