Weather News on a Spring Farm

In early spring, weather can change quickly. A forecast is a report about weather that may happen. It can tell about strong wind, heavy rain, hail, or lightning. It can also tell about the time the weather may come. Talia and Omar hear a forecast before working at their farm. Talia closes the chicken-coop door. Omar puts loose tools in the barn.

Later, thunder begins. The children go inside the sturdy farmhouse with a grown-up. They listen for a new weather report. The report can help the grown-up decide when it is safer to go back outside.
