Morning Weather News

Nia's family plans to join a costume parade at a city park after lunch. In the morning, the sky is clear. A weather forecast on a phone says, “A strong thunderstorm may reach the park after lunch. Expect lightning and strong winds.” There is an open tent at the park. There is also a solid office building with a windowless room.

Safety rule: When lightning is near, go inside a solid building with a grown-up. Trees and open tents are not safe shelters.
