Three Young Plants

At a rainforest banana grove, a grower compared three young banana plants. Each began with two green leaves. Their pots, soil, and sizes were alike. One had wet soil and daylight. One had dry soil and daylight. One had wet soil in a dark room. Air reached each plant. After two weeks, the grower counted green leaves. The graph shows her counts. Then she watered the dry soil and moved the dark-room plant into daylight.
