Try Three Covers

At a city park, a domino play mat gets warm in sunlight. A class tests three model tables. First, children put matching paper mats on them. Next, they add a solid roof to one and a roof with openings to another. One has no roof. The mats start equally warm. All three sit together in sunlight for eight minutes. An adult measures each mat before and after the test.

The adult's notes
No roof: The mat became the warmest.
Roof with openings: The mat became warmer than the mat under the solid roof, but less warm than the mat with no roof.
Solid roof: The mat became the least warm.
