Weather Near the Reef Classroom

The Coral Classroom Aquarium has a large window where students watch a model coral reef. The class wanted to know which season usually makes it easiest for families to visit the aquarium. They recorded the weather on 20 observation days in each season. The days were spread across each season instead of being chosen from the forecast.

The graph shows the average noon temperature for each season. The table shows how many of the 20 observation days were rainy. A rainy observation day means rain was recorded during some part of that day. The records describe the weather during this study, not the weather on every day in a season.

Season | Average noon temperature | Rainy observation days out of 20Winter | 45°F | 7 daysSpring | 60°F | 9 daysSummer | 75°F | 5 daysFall | 65°F | 8 days
