Postcards from the Road

In July, Noor's family took a long trip across the country. Before they left, Noor made a list of people to write to. Her grandfather lives at 18 Birch Lane, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her best friend Eli lives at 220 Harbor Road, Portland, Maine.

At each stop, Noor bought a postcard. In the mountains, she found one with a bright blue lake. At the beach, she found one with a seal on a rock. She wrote a note on the back of each card.

Noor mailed the first card from her aunt's house. Her aunt lives at 6 Cedar Street, Denver, Colorado. The family stayed there for two days. Noor's aunt took them to a park with a big fountain.

On the last day, Noor wrote her own address at the top of her letter to Eli. It said 14 Willow Court, Madison, Wisconsin. Eli wrote back a week later. He said, "I have your address now, so I will send you a postcard from the harbor."
