Kai's Week of Mix-Ups

Monday: Our class took a spelling pretest. It is a short practice quiz that we take before the real test on Friday. I misspelled the word "because." I left out the letter a!

Tuesday: I misplaced my math folder. I looked in my desk and in my backpack, but it was not there. At last, I found it in the reading corner, right where I had left it.

Wednesday: I was in a hurry this morning, so I wore mismatched socks. One sock had red stripes, and the other had green dots. Then I misread the lunch menu. I thought it said pizza, but it really said peas!

Thursday: Grandma and I made banana muffins. First, we preheated the oven so it would be hot before the muffins went in. The kitchen smelled sweet all afternoon.

Friday: On the real test, I spelled "because" the right way! After school, we visited my little brother's preschool. He will go there for one year before he starts kindergarten.
