2The brown middle is full of seeds. Birds like to eat sunflower seeds. People eat them too.

3To grow a sunflower, first dig a small hole in the ground. Put a seed in the hole and cover it with soil. The seed needs water and sunshine. After many weeks, a new sunflower grows tall.
