A Window in the Trees

Zuri visits a rainforest lodge with her family. Tall trees grow around a wide deck. An opening in the leaves gives them a clear view of the sky. For three days, Zuri and her aunt make sky notes from the same spot. They check in the morning, at midday, in late afternoon, and after dark. The sky is clear at each check. Her aunt helps record the sun's place. They never look straight at the sun.
