Ravi's Mask Day

It was mask day in art class. Ravi wanted to make a lion. Mr. Diaz gave him a paper plate and orange yarn for the mane.

Ravi began to glue yarn around the edge of the plate. Then the yarn ran out! Half of his lion had no mane. Ravi frowned.

His friend Abby had an idea. "Cut strips of yellow paper," she said. "Then curl them with a pencil."

Ravi cut ten strips and curled them with a pencil. He glued them where the yarn was missing. Now his lion had a big, bushy mane. Ravi held it up and gave a loud roar!
