Bao and the Red Accordion

Bao found a big box under Grandpa's bed. Inside was a red accordion.

"What is it?" Bao asked. "It is my old accordion," said Grandpa. "I played it when I was a boy."

Grandpa pulled the accordion open. Then he pushed it shut. It made a long, happy sound. Bao laughed and clapped.

Grandpa let Bao try. Bao pushed too fast. The accordion made a sound like a honking goose!

"Go slow," said Grandpa. Bao tried again, slow and soft. This time it sang. After dinner, Bao and Grandpa played a song for Mom.
