Daylight at the Seedling Shelter

Use farm records to compare daylight during the year.

Read the farm record

The farm team is planning work at a seedling shelter. The team recorded the daylight hours at the same farm field during five months. Use the graph to answer the questions.

The Seedling Shelter Plan

In early spring, Rowan and Suri helped plan a small shelter for young plants. They wanted to know when the farm team would have enough daylight to work outside. They used the same field and recorded the time from sunrise to sunset during five months.

The team planned to work at the shelter on days with at least 13 hours of daylight. The graph shows their records. These records are observations from the farm, not a promise about every day in a month.
