Read the story
Ember and the Cold Soup
1Ember was a small green dragon. She lived on a hill above a little village. The big dragons blew giant orange flames. Ember tried and tried, but she could only puff little warm clouds. She felt sad.
2One chilly night, the village had a soup supper in the square. But rain had soaked the firewood, so the big pot of soup was cold. "Oh no!" said Mr. Okafor, the cook.
3A boy named Teo ran up the hill. "Ember, can you help us?" he asked. Ember flew down and blew soft, warm puffs under the pot. Soon the soup bubbled.
