My Dandelion

Read a poem about a flower that changes.

Read the poem

Read the poem. It has 4 parts, and each part has a number.

My Dandelion

1On Monday I found a flower
that grew up through a crack.
It looked just like a tiny sun.
I said, "I will come back."

2When I came back next week,
I saw a puffy ball.
The yellow flower turned to fluff,
so white and soft and small.

3I took a great big breath
and blew with all my might.
The tiny seeds went floating up
like dancers, soft and light.

4The wind will carry every seed
and set it on the ground.
Next spring, more little yellow suns
will pop up all around!
