A Busy Day for Patch

Hello! I am Patch, a green backpack. Every morning, I go to school with a girl named Jada.

Today, Grandpa Ray filled me up. "Here is your lunch, your spelling folder, and a note for Ms. Kim," he told Jada. My zipper was so full that it squeaked.

At school, Jada hung me on a hook. Ms. Kim looked at the class. "Who has a note for me?" she asked. "I do!" said Jada. She reached inside me and pulled out the note.

After school, Jada swung me onto her back. "Let's go home, Patch," she said. I bounced all the way home. I love being Jada's backpack!
