Sundae Night

Every Friday is Sundae Night at Nana Rue's house. Nana sets out bowls, spoons and toppings on the kitchen table. "Help yourselves," she tells Rafi and Tula.

Tula is only six, but she scoops her ice cream herself. She uses a big blue spoon. Rafi adds sprinkles and two cherries. "I made this tall tower myself!" he says.

Grandpa Wes pours warm fudge for himself. Then the fudge drips onto his sleeve. He laughs at himself and grabs a napkin.

When the sundaes are gone, the children wash the bowls by themselves. "We cleaned up ourselves!" Tula tells Nana. Nana gives them each a big hug.
