The Shoebox Meadow
Ms. Tran's class turned a big shoebox into a tiny meadow. The children worked with partners. Each pair made one part of the meadow.
Jada and Owen rolled gray clay into two little mice. They gave each mouse a pink nose and a long string tail. Then Owen made a goose with an orange beak. Jada said, "One goose looks lonely." So they made three more geese to keep it company.
Kai and Lucia cut a stream out of blue paper. They glued five shiny fish in the water. Next, they made two deer with twig legs. Each deer stood on four tiny clay feet.
Rosa and Ben made a fluffy sheep out of cotton balls. Then they made three more sheep for the green hill. Last, Ben cut tiny white teeth out of paper. He glued two on each mouse.
