Read the letter. Then answer the questions about Shell Key.

A Letter to Shell Key Neighbors

Dear neighbors of Shell Key,

Our town council helps care for places and services that people share. Town workers repaired the road between the ferry landing and the homes. A smooth road helps buses, bikes, and emergency vehicles move.

At Seabreeze Park, workers cut grass, empty bins, and fix the swings. At the public library, staff lend books and offer a quiet place to read.

Police officers patrol streets and help people in unsafe situations. Firefighters at the fire station answer fire calls and teach families about fire safety.

These services help our island community each day. If you see a broken swing or a road problem, tell town hall. The council can learn what needs attention and plan the work. Families, workers, and local leaders all have parts in keeping Shell Key safe and welcoming.

Signed,Talia
