Rainforest Cable Station Records

A cable car carries supplies to a rainforest research station. Rey helps sort material samples on a shelf beside the cable car. A guide checks that the samples are clean and safe to handle. Rey looks at their colors and gently feels their surfaces. The guide presses each sample the same gentle way, then gently tries to bend it. The sample changes, but the tests stay the same. They record the results below. In the pressing test, a soft sample dents and a hard sample does not. They stop if a sample resists bending.

Sample | Color | Texture | Pressing result | Bending result

A: Rubber square | Green | Bumpy | Dents | Bends

B: Sponge piece | Brown | Rough | Dents | Bends

C: Metal strip | Gray | Smooth | No dent | Bends

D: Wooden block | Green | Smooth | No dent | Stays straight

E: Wooden block | Brown | Rough | No dent | Stays straight

F: Foam pad | Gray | Smooth | Dents | Bends

G: Plastic tile | Green | Bumpy | No dent | Stays straight
