The Window Models

Buses and people pass a boot shop on a busy city street. Inside, Inez helps make small models for the shop window. She starts with six snap-together cubes. Every cube has a star sticker. She joins all six cubes into a low platform. The first picture shows her platform.

Next, Inez pulls the cubes apart at their joins. She spreads the six loose cubes on a tray. She does not cut, bend, or throw away any cube. She adds no new pieces. Then she snaps the cubes together to make a tower.

Inez checks the finished tower. All six cubes still have their star stickers. Each cube is the same size and shape as before. The second picture shows the tower.
