Tam the Joey

Tam was a joey. A joey is a baby kangaroo. Tam lived in his mom's pouch, a warm pocket on her tummy.

One day, Tam peeked out. He looked out just a little bit. He saw green grass and a big blue sky.

Then Tam hopped out. Boing! He bounded across the grass in big, high jumps.

Soon Tam felt hungry. He nibbled the grass with tiny bites. Then he jumped back into the pouch for a nap.
