Listen and tell how two sea animals are connected.

Listen to the text

Your teacher reads the text. Listen for how the clownfish and the anemone help each other.

The Clownfish and the Anemone

Many clownfish are orange with white stripes. They live in the sea.

A clownfish makes its home in a sea anemone. An anemone looks like a soft plant, but it is an animal. Its arms can sting.

The stings keep big fish away, so the clownfish is safe. A clownfish has a slimy coat, so the stings do not hurt it.

The clownfish helps, too. It chases away fish that try to eat the anemone.
