Hop Along with Rabbits

Listen for the answers to our class questions.

Read together

Your teacher reads the text. Listen for the answers to our questions. When your teacher reads it again, say "Hop, hop, hop!" and "Thump, thump!" with your class.

Our questions: What does a rabbit eat? How does a rabbit stay safe?

Rabbits

This is a rabbit. A rabbit has long ears. Long ears help it hear sounds that are far away.

A rabbit has strong back legs. It can hop, hop, hop! Strong legs help it run fast.

A rabbit eats plants, like grass and clover. Its front teeth keep growing all its life.

Is danger near? A rabbit thumps its back feet on the ground. Thump, thump! Now the other rabbits know to hide.
