Baked Potato Night

Nadia is helping Uncle Ben make dinner. Tonight they are making baked potatoes and a green salad.

First, Nadia scrubs the potatoes in the sink. The water from the tap is cold, and her fingers tingle. Uncle Ben slices a cucumber with a sharp knife. "Only grown-ups use this knife," he says.

The oven is hot. Uncle Ben puts on thick oven mitts before he opens the oven door. Nadia stands back and watches.

The pot of beans is full and heavy, so Uncle Ben carries it with both hands. Nadia carries the light basket of napkins. Soon the potatoes are soft inside. Dinner is ready!
