Art Night in the Gym: Read the Map and Clocks
Use the words, the map and the clocks to plan a visit.

Read the article
Read the article. Then study the map and the clocks below it.
Art Night at Cedar Hill School
1Once a year, Cedar Hill School turns its gym into an art show for one evening. Families come to see the art that students made in class. Use the map and the clocks below this article to plan your visit. On the map, the door is at the bottom, and the far wall is at the top.
2The first graders cut scraps of colored paper and old fabric to make collages. They glued the pieces onto cardboard to show animals and their homes. The second graders made paintings of places they love in town, such as the park and the fire station.
3The third graders built masks out of paper strips and glue. After the masks dried, the students painted them with bright stripes and dots. During the mask walk, the third graders will wear their masks and walk across the stage. The walk takes place on the stage so that everyone in the gym can see the masks.
4The snack table will have apple slices and cups of water. Please eat your snack near the table. Food must stay away from the art so that nothing gets sticky. The gym closes early on Art Night. The custodian needs time to clean the floor before gym class the next morning.
