The Mud Run
1Odette and her brother Kip lined up for the Kids' Mud Run. At the start, they jogged slowly. Then Odette saw the finish flag far away, and she dashed ahead.
2Soon they reached a huge mud pit. Kip tiptoed at the edge, but Odette stomped right in. Splat! Her shoes were not just wet. They were soaked.
3By the end, the kids trudged up the last hill. Their legs felt heavy. Odette was not just tired. She was exhausted! Kip was filthy from head to toe, and he grinned.
