The Fabric Store

Hugo and Mom went to the fabric store. They needed cloth for a new pillow.

Hugo touched a soft, fuzzy cloth. It felt like a kitten. Mom held up a shiny gold cloth. "It is too bright," said Hugo.

Then Hugo saw a long roll of cloth with green stripes. "This one!" he said. The clerk cut a big piece. Hugo picked six round buttons, too.

At home, Mom sewed the pillow. Hugo hugged it all night.
