1In our kitchen, there is a white pantry door. My family uses it to see how much we grow. Our dad makes a pencil mark over each head.
2Next to each mark, he writes a name and a date. My big brother Kofi has a mark from March 3. My little sister Hana has a mark from May 21.
3Today is Sunday, October 5. I stand tall with my back to the door. Our dad draws a line and writes Ama next to it. I am taller than my mark from April!
