Tam and Bree Learn to Hunt

1Tam and Bree were fox kits. They lived with Mama Fox in a den under a log. Tam was a fast runner. Bree was a high jumper.

2One evening, Mama Fox led them into the tall grass. "A good hunter is a good listener," she said softly. The kits held still and listened.

3Squeak! A mouse was hiding in the grass. Mama crept slowly toward the sound. Then she jumped quickly and landed right on the mouse.
