Hands and Feelings

Fred Rogers made a TV show for children. He used puppets to help tell stories.

One puppet was Daniel Striped Tiger. Daniel was a small, shy tiger. Shy means feeling unsure around other people.

Fred put his hand inside Daniel. He moved the puppet with his hand. He gave Daniel a soft voice.

Talking about feelings can be hard. Daniel could talk about feeling sad or shy. His stories helped children talk about their own feelings.
