The Flying Name Cards

Zuri and Ben sit at the art table in their classroom. A chart has the heading “Art Helpers.” It is their turn to help.

They set out name cards. A gust of wind comes in the open window. The cards scatter across the table.

“We can shut the window,” says Ben. He shuts it. Zuri puts a small block on each card. Now the cards stay in place.

The class comes in to paint. Each child finds a name card and a seat.

The teacher takes a photo of Zuri and Ben. Its caption says, “Our art helpers.” The two helpers beam.
