A Trim and a Joke Show
Davi tells about a haircut with Luis, a barber whose jokes make sitting still more fun.

“I just want a little trim,” I say. Luis nods. But my feet swing and my knees wiggle. Sitting still is hard for me.
Luis sets his scissors down. “What kind of hair does the ocean have?” he asks.
“I don't know,” I say. “Wavy hair!” says Luis. I laugh and make waves with my hands.
Then I rest my hands in my lap. I plant my feet on the chair's footrest. Luis starts to snip.
He stops for another joke. “My comb has lots of teeth, but it cannot eat lunch!”
I giggle. Then I hold still again. At last, Luis shows me my neat hair in a mirror.
“I came for a trim and got a joke show too!” I say.
