Meera came to class with a big backpack. A sign above the hooks said, “Backpacks.” She saw an empty hook, but it was too high. Her bag sat on the floor.

Meera tugged on her teacher's sleeve. “Can you help me find a hook?” she asked. “I cannot reach that one.” Ms. Chen bent down to look.

“Here is a low hook,” said Ms. Chen. It was hidden behind a yellow apron. She moved the apron to another spot. Meera hung up her bag. It did not touch the floor.

“How will I find it tomorrow?” Meera asked. Ms. Chen gave her a blank label. Meera wrote her name on it. Then she stuck it above the low hook.

The next morning, Meera looked for her name. She put her backpack on the low hook by herself. Now her school day could begin!
